February 24th, 2009Apple iPod classic 120 GB Black (6th Generation)
Everyday our technology progress moves us and whole mp3 industry forward in big steps or sometimes jumps. In the end of the last year Apple Inc. announced release of the new 6th Generation Apple iPod classic 120 GB . Our team decided to review this “new” Apple iPod a bit later after his release because we want to see how it will be tested in real world and specify any complains from the consumers in MP3 Player Reviews Blog.
Let’s start with the capacity. In this model Apple decided decrease memory size and increase battery’s life time. Right now the biggest Apple iPod Classic comes at 120 Gb size. In my own opinion that is more then enough for the simple mp3 player.
Now let’s take a look on the looks of the new iPod. As every other iPod it comes with polished back panel which always covered in fingerprints of the owner. This may be a turnoff for the customers who prefer nice and click mp3 player in their hands. The front of the iPod Classic is anodized-aluminum, which distinguishes it from other media players.
However the graphical interface of the new Apple iPod classic 120 GB is really something to look forward to. The small screen with 320×240 resolution gives outstanding quality of colors. The only feature of the new iPod is split-screen menu which allows you see menu on the right side of the screen and the rest of the screen taken by the album artwork or the play list.
The audio output is very satisfying . It has frequency response from 20 to 20,000 Hz. However if we forget about media players and take a look at the Sony Ericsson phones, they will do much better performance then any iPod Classic.
